*EPA Awards TCEQ $310,000 to Conduct Air Monitoring*
(Dallas, Texas - August 15, 2008) The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $310,000 to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in a cooperative agreement to participate in a national air toxics monitoring trends network. The funding will support TCEQ operation and maintenance of air monitoring sites in Karnack and Deer Park, Texas, as part of an ongoing effort to determine national urban and rural trends in air toxics concentrations.
