ENERGY OVERVIEW Annual Energy Outlook 2008 with Projections to 2030 (06/26) The AEO2008 presents projections of energy supply, demand, and prices through 2030, which are based on results from EIA’s National Energy Modeling System (NEMS). The analysis in AEO2008 focuses primarily on a reference case and four other cases that assume higher and lower economic growth and higher and lower prices than in the reference case. However, the analysis includes over 30 alternative cases examining different aspects of energy markets. http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/aeo/index.html
Monthly Energy Review (06/25/2008) EIA’s primary report of recent energy statistics: total energy production, consumption, and trade; energy prices; overviews of petroleum, natural gas, coal, electricity, nuclear energy, renewable energy, and international petroleum; and data unit conversions. In the first quarter of 2008, total net imports of energy as a share of consumption in the United States stood at 24.3 percent, down 10.3 percent compared with the first quarter of 2007; and down 14.4% compared
with the first quarter of 2006. See What’s New in the Monthly Energy Review for a record of changes. http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/mer/contents.html
Annual Energy Review 2007 (06/23) Summarizes U.S. energy history 1949-2007 in tables and figures. Covers all major forms of energy (fossil fuels, nuclear, and renewable energy) and total energy by activity (e.g., production, consumption, trade, stocks, and prices). Also includes financial indicators related to energy; international energy; environmental indicators; and data unit conversions. Key long-term trends are graphically illustrated in special section called “Energy Perspectives.” http://www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/aeo/index.html
