The following Mosquito Spraying Announcement has been issued by the Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife Mosquito Control Section for Kent and Sussex Counties.
Mosquito Spraying Announcement
It is effective from 06/5/08 9:00 am until 6/7/08 12:00 am
Weather permitting; the Mosquito Control Section is planning the following insecticide application during the daylight and evening hours from Thursday, June 5, 2008 through Friday, June 6, 2008.
Application of Permanone (permethrin/PBO) with truck-mounted sprayers to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas:
In or near Clayton, Cheswold, Marydel, Dover, Prime Hook Beach, Woodside, Viola, Felton, Harrington, Milford, Broadkill Beach, Slaughter Beach, Lincoln, Ellendale, Georgetown and Lewes.
All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions. The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife or the environment.
