Mosquito Spraying Announcement
PLEASE MAKE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT PERIODICALLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Weather permitting; the Mosquito Control Section is planning the following insecticide application in the evening from Monday, June 30, 2008 through Thursday, July 3, 2008. Application of Permanone (permethrin/PBO) with truck-mounted sprayers to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas: In Dover and near Dover, Hartly, Marydel, Felton, Harrington, Milford, Georgetown, Greenwood, Bridgeville, Laurel, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Angola. All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions. The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife or the environment.
