Comment Period on DECs Proposed Revisions to New Yorks Endangered Species Regulations Closes on November 10th

DEC has recently proposed changes to its endangered and threatened species regulations, which are found in 6 NYCRR Part 182 [ ]. The proposed regulatory changes are intended to help clarify and improve the administration of the states regulations for endangered and threatened species, while also helping to reduce potential project delays when species are present in a project area. Identifying and addressing potential impacts to endangered and threatened species and their habitats early in the planning process has proven to be the most successful way to avoid harmful impacts from construction and other new development.
