DEQ proposes water quality permit renewal for seafood processing

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has released a draft of a proposed permit to regulate wastewater discharges from seafood processing facilities in Oregon. The proposed permit renewal will replace a previous version of the permit that expired in 2011. DEQ will accept public comments on the proposed permit until 5 p.m. on March 29 and is holding three public hearings along the coast.
