Stuck on what to do
So like almost everyone here I want to major in Environmental Science but I’m having some doubts now. I always thought I was going to go to UCR get a bachelors in Environmental Science and then a masters. Then go teach at a community college or at the very least high school. However, I’m terrible at public speaking so I’m not sure if I’m would be a good teacher. I figured that communication would just come to me naturally but I still get nervous talking to a group. What else am I supposed to do if I don’t become a teacher? One of my coworkers told me to major in environmental engineering but I’m failing calc 2 for the second time so I’m not sure if I can do engineering. I don’t expect anyone to know the answer to my problem but I just wanted to vent. I don’t know anyone that majored or is going to major in environmental science which worries me. Out of all classes I’m taking this semester I’m starting to like chemistry a lot so I don’t know if I should pursue something there. I’m barely on my second year of college so I don’t even have an associates yet so it’s not to late to abandon ship. However, do I want to do that? I do like environmental science more than anything but is it worth pursuing this career?
