TCEQ approves fines totaling $266,972
Penalties assessed against 21 regulated entities
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $250,758 against 16 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one air quality, one industrial hazardous waste, one municipal solid waste, three municipal wastewater discharge, one petroleum storage tank, and six public water system.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one air quality, one petroleum storage tank, and one public water system.
In addition, on Aug. 27, the executive director approved penalties totaling $16,214 against five entities.
