Forecast Discussion
*”Wednesday 09/25/2019″* Light winds, warm temperatures, and abundant afternoon sunshine could be enough for ozone to reach the middle to upper end of the “Moderate” range in parts of the Houston area, with highest concentrations in the afternoon and early evening.

Light amounts of patchy residual smoke from seasonal agricultural fires across the Southeast U.S. and Mississippi Valley could impact portions of Northeast Texas, though the intensity of the smoke is not expected to be enough to raise the daily PM2.5 AQI beyond the upper end of the “Good” range throughout most of the Tyler-Longview area.

Otherwise in Northeast Texas and elsewhere in the state, moderate winds and/or lower incoming background levels should help keep air quality in the “Good” range in most spots.
